David Brown 880 Selectomatic Link Arms

I have a problem with the link arms on my David Brown 880 being stuck in the raised position. I have half a ton of rotovator on the back that I was using and now is stuck up in the air! I guess it"s something simple, but before I started taking everything apart, I hope someone has a suggestion.

the manual lock is not in is it? the curved piece of metal off the left side just above the lift arm.

No, the manual lock isn't in, but we have tried moving that after it stuck up to see if this freed anything. I was raising and lowering the arms as I turned at each end of the field, and the last time, it just stayed up.
