Case 380 LL won't keep running. I have cleaned the glass fuel filter bowl and checked the canister filters, they seem clean. Fresh diesel has been added. Engine will run as long as starting fluid is sprayed into the intake pipe. Occasionaly it will run on its own without starting fluid for a block or two then acts like it runs out of diesel. What else should I look for? Thanks for any help.
Terry

It should have the CDC 4-390 engine. Check the fuse to make sure it is not blown. Then check the wire going to the fuel pump. They use a tie strap to hold the wire to the injection line from the filter to the pump and it wear a bold spot in the wire and cause a short. Repair wire and replace fuse. If not (they call it a solonid on top of the pump could be bad))

If it has the Roosa-Master injection pump, loosen the two screws that hold the rectangular timing cover on the side of the pump just enough to allow fuel to leak out, then try it. If it cranks and runs okay with fuel leaking out the side of the pump, you'll need to remove the pump for repair.
