Howdy,

I'm trying to finish up this JD "M" for my friend and came across another predicament. The grill is missing two of its sheetmetal fasteners (they have a slotted face outside with a piece that goes into the sheetmetal and through that piece is a pin that locks into a bracket on the tractor). I talked with JD and they don't sell them anymore. Does anyone know where I could find them before I try to fabricate? Appreciate the help as always. God bless.

I use "riv nuts" to fasten sheet metal. just type riv nut in your search engine & you'll gets sites that sell them. They are used among other things to attach truck mirrors to truck doors. I used them to fasten my Farmall H Grill.

Try Correct Connection at corcon@qcol.net or call them at (814)926-2777. They seem to have most Deere sheetmetal fasteners.
