Has plently of gas so I Checked for loose and broken wires found nothing.Checked for spark at different locations no spark.I just had it tuned up about couple of months ago, which sat and hardly been used.Where should I look next? Thanks in advance for any help

A bad condensor can do this.

Mine was doing this same thing for about a year. It was such a random event that I could not figure it out, about drove me crazy. Finally I replaced the ignition switch and that solved the problem. You can jump the switch posts and check as another poster said.

Sounds like you have a wiring problem.Take a volt meter and check for voltage at the coil,no voltage ,work your way back to the switch and even all the way to the battery if you have to.If you have voltage, then your problem is in your distributor, points slipped or a some component is touching ground.Your condencer may have gone bad.Just because you paid for a tune-up doesn't mean you got one sometimes.

Sputtering to a stop usually means a fuel problem. Instant stop, like you describe, usually means an ignition problem. Something in the wiring, etc. You mention no spark- fix that, and likely the tractor will run.

Could be your ignition switch went south. Hook a jumper wire across the terminals and see if you have fire.

Does the fuel shut off on the sediment bowl have two stages on it?Have an NAA that did exactly the same thing .The problem was the reserve stage was plugged up and while it appeared to have plenty of gas,it couldn't get the the carburetor.Remove the gas line to the carburetor and see if you have gas at that point.

Does the Ford have either an ignition module near or under the dist? Or, Is there a ballast resistor in the igntion circuit. Depending how much you have cranked it without spark, that first pop could be a hot one so be careful. I have blown up a muffler before from cranking with no spark and then finding the problem. Good luck

I don't know how many time I have had this happen with my tractors. Especialy since the gas has been screwed with. I usually give my carb. a few taps as the first correction. In many cases the float is stuck.
