Ok here goes the unpopular tractor, rather than political question.
I purchased a basket regular and am trying to figure out the date of MFG. I can't find a number on the frame, the tool box is gone. The block is stamped with What I can read QC45200. The literature I have says prefex QC was used 1926 and earlier but the number 45200 says mfg in 1929. Was the QC used longer than just to 1926 on the block? The 4 is hard to read so maybe it is some other charecter than a 4? could the following 0 be some other charecter? The fellow I got it from maintais it is a 26. What say the great farmall gurus of our time? It has a flat sided governor too.

My book says SN#1539 starts off 1026, SN# 40379 starts off 1929. 1928 starts the five digit SN's with 15471.

Thanks Noah (cool name by the way) I see what you are saying but what is throwing me is The QC I want it to be a 26 the numbers may be saying 29 They are hard to read, but all my litterature says QC is 26 and before. The QC is a definite QC the numbers not so definite.

I have what I believe to be a '27 Regular. Some of the casting #'s don't jive with the rest of the tractor. I 'spect on something as old as these things are, parts from other tractors, even other Farmall models have replaced the original parts.
