I have three Avery's, 48 Model A, 49 Model A, and a completely restored 1948 Model V with a wide front. My question is about the 48 Model V. I have the field implements, including single row plow, planter, and row cultivator that attach to the tractor and are all in working condition. Also, the gears on the tractor were placed in the wrong order in the factory ( 1 is 1, 2 is 2, 3 is Reverse, and Reverse is 3. Does either of these reasons make it rare, worth a little more than normal, or just unique?

Can anyone confirm that all BF AVERY MODEL V tractor's have their gears placed in the wrong order? Also, I am still looking for an approximate price tag when I decide to sell it. Thanks for your time!

All of them were that way. Some guy at the factory was getting his lunch stolen every day by one of the managers and that was his way of getting back. Caused a lot of farmers to back over their plows. Created total havoc in the tractor industry. And also caused a lot of collisions from guys backing into the fellow behind him at stoplights.
