now that you fellers seemed to have settled down a bit, I'll give ya somethin to chew on me for.
I just "discovered" the Hotline Farm Equipment Guide today. Seems like it'd be a handy thing to have around but I don't think I want to shell out the $50 to get me one.

I've got a '94 ed, about worn it out. I normally trade in stuff at least 15 years old so just now getting to where I may have to upgrade.

Watch the ag section on eBay. Hotline[Heartland Publications] has been selling 2004 editions very cheap. These newer editions don't list the older tractors like they used to.

Don"t know bout the newer ones, but I have a 2001 Hotline Farm Equipment Guide, two volumes, that goes back to the 20"s and 30"s. Also has some off the wall makes.

bought a 2 year old at a flea market this weekend for $3.00. It is kinda interesting. In the back of this one is about 50 pages of places to get parts or of salvage yards, that was worth the $3.00 price tag.

The HOTLINE farm equipment is geared mostly for the use of dealers, bankers, auctioneers, and folks who do appraisals for lending institutions. Very little useful info for the common man unless you do a lot of buying and selling.

I got 3 of them, about every other year. Last one only contained 2 of my tractors - nothing small, nothing old left in it. I'll have something to say if they call again.... I believe they have one dedicated ot older models now?

This guy that had them had the 2002 editions. He said he was thinking about getting the 2004 model now that they will be selling for cheaper. Maybe he won't if he finds out they don't have all the info in them that the older ones had.

Hey Les, Are you more interested in old tractors? They make a antique tractor guide too. Smaller 1 book to it. This yr they have a 99 ollie on the front from ILL. It contains many makes and models of the old tractors up into the 70's My email is unblocked drop me a line if your interested in the antique one. I got like 6 left to move I work for hotline doing auction research for them. Anyone can get use out of the books due to all the specs and what not listed in them. Not just the people rusty listed.
