Does anyone have any experience with the 3-pt King Kutter 6' finishing mower? Good features? Bad features? Worth the money? Thanks for your input!

I have a KK 6' rear discharge on it's third season. Good value for the $. My only problem is the blades seem to require frequent sharpening otherwise the grass will windrow rather than spread. Anyone know of a better replacement blades?

I bought a King Kutter 5 foot rear discharge finish mower this year. I use it behind an AC D-10. I considered a 6 foot but in the future I want to use a small compact tractor on the mower.Overall, the finish mower works well. At first the hitch pins that hold the 4 small wheels kept falling out. I replaced them with pto pins and I have had no problems since. It does a nice job mowing in straight lines. The difficulty I have is manuvering around trees. This of course is not a problem with the mower. A small hydro tractor would be nice. I only use the mower on my lawn and small orchard and keep it greased. I expect it to last a long time.

I don't even know how many King Kutter mowers I've owned. I used to have a place where I could get them at dealer cost {before the farm stores got into the act}, and I would buy several at a time.
You would not believe some of the abuse I've seen those things stand up to!!
As much od a gren and yellow freak as am, I would definatly recomend a King Kutter.

DON'T BE AFRAID OF A KINGKUTTER!
Lots of fellas on this board will bad mouth it, because it is lower cost. Compare it to the high dollar big name machines. The price savings is so drastic, and unless you are going to use it every day or for commercial use, that unit should last you for many years. Make sure you don't overpower the mower...they are rated 40 hp but for longevity I would not use it with a tractor with more than 35 pto hp. Also, KINGKUTTER has either a SFM72 or a FM72. I think the SFM72 is a heavier gauge steel but may be mistaken. If it is a heavier gauge, I would go with that. Buy a spare set of blades and belt, just in case KINGKUTTER sells out or something. I know KINGKUTTER bought out HOWSE years ago. I have a 5 foot pull type KINGKUTTER rotary cutter and it works great, is built like a tank and was 1/3 of the price of big name brands.

RUN...don't walk away from King Kutter junk. Just do a search for other comments on this board and you'll get the idea.
