Don't want to be a pain in the axx, but what does that have to do with tractors? Down below there is a very nice forum called "country talk".

Ken,

Go down there and brouse through some posts. That is a different environment and I want to talk here. So be benevolent and let's share the forum. I like to talk tractors, but sometimes, I want to talk about other things too.....like getting a spell checker. You are the folks I talk to about tractors so I just want to change the subject every once in awhile (OT).

Your tolerance will be appreciated.
Mark

Coloken...I guess I"ll direct this toward you as your sharp criticism seems to urge me to...back when I was a boy we didn"t have a weatherman on every channel...fact of the matter was...you might get a broad forecast on the radio, if you had a radio. I"ve seen many a farmer halt his team or stop his tractor and say "better get that hay in to the barn cause its gonna rain. They studied the sky and some felt it in their bones as the older ones said. So weather and farming went hand in hand years ago...I guess your too young to realize this. Did you say anything about the original poster a page or two back? Maybe if you get a post that doesn"t go along with your idea of a good post someone should show you where the delete key is. Sorry to be a grouch...but if you are gonna dish it out...you better be able to take it too! Fred OH

PS You older fellows remember using the static crashes on the AM radio to tell when a storm was coming?

I still kinda keep track of the old ways of tellin weather, lo and behold, it is pretty accurate. Not all the time, but i'd have to say 75% of the time it is. My kids think I am crazy when I bring this up.

Yessir, and bought an FM (frequency modulated) radio that didn't respond to those amplitude variations....not too much. Grin

This isn't a rhyme but a couple things I remember from my dad, # 1. Remember you make your profit the day you buy it!
#2.Dont forget its the early bird that gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese.
The first one I have always tried to live by.
