There was a TV show on Iowa PBS Dec 2 of 2003 that was about old tractors but it was mainly like telling what were the advancements in tractors but was very informative. It was on Wisconsin PBS at one time too.

Sunday eve's when I usually catch the classic tract. shows on there (if the wife lets me, she can't stand to watch it). There probably isn't much $ in those shows. I wonder if they don't get the horse shows for free.. US farm report is ok but could go for hours to really cover agri-business... don't forget "Big JOe polka show"..

At least we have that channel to watch now. better than nothing..

Jrry. RFD-TV was at Polk's Labor Day Sale covering the show + the auction itself. I have no idea when the program will be on or the channel.

That guy was from RFD-TV. I think they decided to just stick with shows on how to train your horse, or put shoes on your horse, or how to ride your horse in a show ring, or whatever. Very little on that channel about tractors anymore.

RFD-TV used to have (maybe they still do) a antique tractor show on at 5:00am Sunday morning. Interesting, but they kept repeating the same shows over and over.

Yes, that's what I found, the same shows over and over. Plus the fact that they never seem to stick with the schedule.

Ever notice that old guy who is the emcee for the classic tractor fever show on RFD-TV? He drives me nuts the way he waves his arms around while he's talking. All I can think about while watching him, is how I'd like slap a pair of handcuffs on him and see if it'd make him turn into a mute!

They need a THIS OLD TRACTOR type of show. Or may be something like what that Brittish guy is doing with A Car is Reborn, A Bike is Born, A Chopper is Born, etc series. Would be lots of fun to follow a long with a rebuild and visit others doing the same.

My 2 cents

Ya,it seems all they want to do is train horses or show you how to cook over a campfire.

They do have alot of re-runs on their tractor shows, when you can find them. Mabe we will have to subscribe to the RFD-TV magazine.

Yea, I found the same thing with progressive farming Magazine. My sister's kid was selling magazine subscriptions for school and it was the only one to spark my interest. I thought it would be all about real farming, ya know, market tips, seed, improving yeilds and the like. Boy was I wrong!!! The whole thing cover to cover is about how the yuppie family can buy up farm ground in 5 acre plots and put up a nice litte horse barn so that little miss spoiled brat kid can ride her horses with the nanny while the parents "rough it" stacking pre-cut firewood into the nice rack that they bought at pier one. I don't even look at it, it just goes into the trash.

Have to agree with all of you on everything but the Big Joe Show. You dohn't need a comedy writer when you watch Big Joe and his accordian vests and his signature styrafoam coffee (or whatever) cups. He has this auditorium big enough to house the latest Jefferson Airplane tour and there are about 17 people there. Boy they do get with it though. And some of those bands he has. The Wisconsin Weiner Wankers, the Popcorn Polka Pardners, the Melody Making Harmony Players, and others too numerous to mention. Boy now thatsa lotta polkas boysa and we're gonna have some fun therea. Later, Harley
