ive got a goodwrench diesel with a roosa master injection pump. fuel is getting to the center of the injection pump but not to the injectors at all. i have spent hours just cranking it and no fuel is getting to the injectors and i have the throttle half way and sometimes full throttle. Just a tiny, tiny bit of air bubbles is being bled through. Is something stuck like a metering valve? All info appreciated tia.

Check for a restriction in the return line or for debris in the return fitting coming out of the top of the pump. Also be sure the pump is energized and has a complete circuit. ie. check the little ground strap.

Had that happen on my 6.2 Chevy. Had to remove the top of the fuel pump. The rod that the solnoid operates stuck. Just worked it by hand a few times and it loosened up and started working right again.
If I missed something, someone will help out

Hi,

What year? Are you energizing the fuel solenoid?

Hi,

That's your problem. They would go out once in awhile.

GM needed an electrical "shut off" because of the way their "variable throttle" worked. When you kill the switch, it in turn kills the fuel at the pump and shuts down the engine.

Be very, very careful when you replace that coil. If you don't get the linkage hooked up just right, when you start the thing, the engine will run away from you and you cannot shut it off.

I would have a pair of needle nosed vice-grips handy so if you have to, you can pinch off that rubber line; this will kill the engine in an emergency.
