ihave put new points condenser onthis tractorandihave reset thepoints at .015 but i still have no fire tothe plugs. can any one help me ihave had this happen twice before,thank you very much.

In addition to what Jim suggested, check that the pig tail on the coil is making contact with the distributor. You may have to stretch it to get a good contact.

Tony,
Don't forget to check that the resistor is not bad. If I remember correctly it's located on the back of the dash and you may have to remove the battery to gain access to it. One way to check it (wouldn't run it this way very long) is to put a jumper wire accross the terminals. If this tractor has the distributor mounted on the front of of the engine with the coil setting on top of it...then it's possible that the coil has shorted out. It's been a while since I worked on one of these tractors. I am sure that there are a lot of people on this forum that have a lot more experience with them than I do. Just a few thoughts of things to check for if you haven't done so already. Good luck with getting it running.
