OT: Just have to vent about my own stupidity

I have been fighting this annoying computer problem for the last few days. Seems my mouse was always lagging behind or wouldn`t move. Kinda like when you have too many applications running. I have a cordless optic mouse and keyboard. My computer tower is mounted up on my wall to keep out of the inevitable dust storm that occurs on the floor every time you open the office door.
I had tried everything I could think of, new batteries, scan for viruses. I even went into my startup menu to disable anything I could think of, nothing helped. About ten minutes ago I happened to glance up at the shelf, and noticed I couldn`t see the transmitter for my wireless stuff. Seems my loving wife, while diligently cleaning the office decided that this odd shaped little thing belonged stuffed in behind the computer wires. I moved it back to it`s original location and now I`m back in business. Now that I know what to look for, I don`t think I`ll even mention it to her as not to rock the boat. The response I`d get would be "well, you can always clean the office yourself".
A guy just feels like a heal, I`m a mechanic who spends a good share of time diagnosing things and it took me days to figure out to move a transmitter 6 inches to the left...

 Sometimes, it's self-inflicted... in reply to Brokenwrench, 06-20-2007 12:51:25
My B-I-L worked for me for almost 20 years, and had a BAD habit of re-arranging things in the shop that I had been working on.

He moved on to another town, to follow his GF, and I've been working alone for almost 2 years. Funny thing is, things STILL seem to get "re-arranged" from time to time. I don't know WHO to blame, now... SURELY it's not ME losing things???

Yep never complain about anything the "Kitchen Wench" "Housekeeper" "Laundress" or "Mistress" does or it will be suggested that you "Do it yourself". The reverse however is always fair game

Well I guess I can turn that around a bit. I quit cleaning the house for her a long time ago because I was either throwing things away that she wanted to keep or I was putting something back in the wrong place. Now I just run the vacuum and scrub the floors. I do fill the dishwasher once in a while but she usually looks in there and rearanges things before I can run it.Jim

Never criticize your wife's judgment.

Look who she married. :-)
