Hey there!

I live in Gardner, MA which looks to be about 2 hours north of where you are. I have a '28 Regular that I'm slowly (SLOWLY) bringing back from the dead.
I'll post a link to my website, if you'd like some help drop me an email, its on the site, and we'll talk.

When you say "pop" from the mag, do you mean the impulse coupling (does it have one? is not working? If so, that would reduce the spark energy at hand cranking speeds to a low level.
Are the plugs getting wet - if not, it is perhaps a fuel problem. Try a little starting fluid, but beware of kickback!
A pull is often the easiest way to get them going after a rebuild. Good luck
Regards, RAB

You might need to spray alittle wd40 or something in your mag. It maybe the thing is a little dry. I had a motor that wouldn,t start sprayed it now starts right up.
