Hello, I have a 1370 white tractor with a fiat engine, now im having a gas issue, I drained the tank looking for dirt and blew the lines out from the tank to the filters, and replaced the filters. I put everything back together and it worked fine for about 30min. Running at pto operation speed, it just dies, there is gas getting to the filters, and it runs fine without any chugging or lack of fuel, then it just dies.. Any suggestions?
P.s There is no cracks or leaks in the injectors or lines.

OK i found the problem, i removed all the lines again and cleaned them out, and i noticed that the main fuel line was slightly collapsed and when you push on it it would go in. SO i have to assume that it was a collapsed line that was doing the damage. IN any case its running fine. Thanks all who posted their two cents and for next time i wont refer to it as gas, but as fuel. thanks again.

Since you said it is a fiat and if it is similar to the engines used in Long tractors. The fuel lines are probably banjo type. Check the connection behind the fuel lift pump that comes from the tank. Take this line off and check it closely. I have had small trash partly clog in this fitting just enough to cause the fuel pump to cavitate and create air pockets that kill the engine. Had a Long 610 do just as yours does.

PLEASE PLEASE get out of the habbit of calling your fuel GAS. At least once a year we'd get in a unit from someone who had actually put gas in their diesel. Usually either a new to the "country" transplant, or a "hey honey, go get some gas for the tractor". It can do ugly things to the injector pump, injectors, pistons.

P.S. Check your return line back to the tank. If it is restricted the housing pressure in your pump will go up high enough to hydraulic lock and stop it pumping.

Next time it happens, remove the gas cap. If will then start, it's most likely a plugged cap vent. The other possibility is that the low side has air in it. I know there is fuel in the filter but in a diesel any air, no matter how little, in the low side, can be the cause.

I checked the gascap and its open, This problem has happened when i had the front steering rebuilt. Since then it will work for awhile then stall... then being towed jump start... then it will run for awhile then it dies again... the process keeps going in one big cycle.

THanks for the reply
