Hi Guys.
Can you tell me how to check the Transmission oil
level, On a Farmall H, The book I have does not tell me, it tells me it holds 6 gallons, I have a drain plug under the PTO facing back and one at
the front of the transmission facing foreward, I
have a plug on the left side, almost at the bottom
near the front, but this looks too low to be the oil level, Thank you for your help. Ken.

Ken - Look for a 1/2" pipe plug on the left side of the tranny about 1/3 of the way up from the bottom. Tranny oil level should be to the bottom of this opening.

My experience is an H tranny takes close to 7 gallons to fill to level check plug.
