A couple of things to keep in mind.
Is it dificult to start when hot anyway?
Check it out before spending money.
You can check if it is short of fuel to the carb by draining fuel (safely) for about a minute when the problem occurs - there should be a non-diminishing full flow.
Check for spark immediately after it quits. If there is a strong blue spark, it ain"t the electrics!
Ron"s suggestion of releasing the fuel cap is a zero-cost option, but buying a new coil, if that is not the fault, will simply cost you for no return whatsoever. So check first!!

Next time it happens immediately remove the gas cap. If the engine will then start, the vent in the gas cap is plugged. If it won't start, replace the coil. 99% of the time it's one of those two things.

Hank: I don't know much about the AC B specifically, but in general, that's a classic symptom of a bad coil or condenser.
