I have bought a 2030 that has some Hydraulics problems. The back attachments sometimes vibrate when raising, they also wandering without manual intervention, and then sometimes don't work. The same happens with the loader. Does anyone have any suggestions?

the symptoms you present are those of internal leak in the supply circuit. but the way to start is, as posted, to check the suction screen, the fluid for appropriate type, level and cleanliness, and to replace the filter.

Thanks for the extra information David, I will follow up on your suggestions.

Can anyone suggest the best place to obtain a manual to use as a reference to perform all recommendations to date?

Call Deere at 1-800-522-7448 to get genuine manuals. They are by far the best and most complete, and for the hydraulics problems you"re having, the hydraulic circuit diagrams in COLOR are indispensable.

some tractors the clutch has to be out for the transmission pump to work, if that is not case you need to check the screen to transmission pump...it is usually behind a round plug with a 1/2 square hole that a breakover will fit in..you will loose all your fluid when you do, i catch mine in a big tub..if fluid is clean you might want to reuse it, but i usually don't...pull screen wash it and reinstall...replace filter put in correct amount of fluid..if rockshaft does not stay where it is put, you need to go thur adjustments ...if you still chatter when moving loader, you need to check to see if loader is hooked back into filter cover on return line..it could be a number of things, internal leak, front pump, rockshaft leaking or power steering leaking, hope this may help...have nice day may god bless

The first step to solve any hydraulic problem is to make sure you have the unit filled to the correct level with the right fluid and that the fluid is clean... no water contamination. Also replace the filter(s).

Beyond that you will need the operator's and service manuals to diagnose. It could be a simple adjustment, a blown relief valve, or something far more serious, like a bad pump.
