My ford 3000 presently has a dozer blade with a double-acting cylinder and a single control valve. I would like to keep the dozer blade and add a hitch-mounted snow blower with a hydraulic chute control during snow months. What's the easiest (and cheapest) way to add the necessary control valve and lines? As you can guess, I haven't had much experience with tractor hydraulics. Thanks for your help.

TSC stocks that sort of thing at a reasonable price...hyd hoses very reasonable.

Ford uses an OPEN center system which is like a thru street with intersections. At every intersection (valve) fluid flows thru it (down the main street)but if you hit the lever, it turns left (right) and goes down the side street (implement moves). With that said, you can install seemingly as many valves as you want; just keep in mind that you can run only one at a time including your 3 pt as activating one blocks the fluid from the rest till valve is released.

Ford made both single remote valves - what you have - and double remote valves. You can sometimes find double remotes in salvage yards or on e-bay or you can buy them through a dealer. They are pricey but are a simple bolt on in place of your valve. You can get some money back by selling the remote you now have. I hope this helps you.
