Went to a tractor/machinery show today in Irricana, Alberta and saw my first, real live MM UDLX. To be honest, I was disappointed and I wish the fellow that brought it there hadn't thrown a quick coat of paint on it. No refurbishing or restoration done to it at all, just a quick (and bad) paint job. I would've much rather seen it just as it was when he got it. Don't know why anyone would have done that, mind you it is still a pretty valuable tractor but if you're going to restore it, then restore it. If not, I like them as they were when retired. Just my opinion, other guys might feel differently. Lots of nice stuff there though, especially one fella who had a MM 335, absolutely beautiful job and I had never seen one at a show before.

I'll agree with you. I either like to see a tractor that is restored and perfect or in a natural state, but I guess its better to see a quick paint job then seeing a tractor rust away in a field and no one ever seeing it. When it comes to a tractor such as the UDLX you might actually hurt the value if you half restore it. It might bring in better money if it was all original or flawless. I have seen a real nice UDLX one time. There was NOTHING wrong with it. And I do mean NOTHING.

I did take a couple of photos on my camera (not digital) so when the roll is finished I will try my luck at posting something here. Might be a while, I don't take a lot of photos but I will try to get this one done.
