I saw these two tractors at a festival in Newburg, Pa, and I'm not sure what type they are. I knew I'd remember the name, because it was so simple, but I'm not sure if it was Aver or Cockshutt. I'm thinkin' it's an avery, but I can't seem to find a pic of one. DOes anyone know where I can find some?

Thanx!

What you saw could have been a Massey Harris. Some of them have side curtains similar to the Cockshutt pictured in a previous response.

Avery's are smaller and I don't recall that any of them had side shields. My guess is a Cockshutt that is actually a red Oliver.

It was narrow front, and I think the steering wasn't at as much of a slant, but so far, looks like what i saw, just different. I looked at the Graham Bradley tractors, and it wasn't it.

I think it was indeed somewhat like what I saw, I'm also looking at these Graham bradley tractors, but my computer keeps freezing.

I forgot to add, that it mainly had a solid floorboard, except, if i remember correctly, the power take off lever, and the gear shift was foreward.

Thats not much to go on!The BF Averys didn't hardly have any floorboard. The very old Avery's where huge affairs and there are few in the east.So what color was it.If it was a yellowish orange then it might be a Sheppard.Look for photos on the left of this page.

Could possibly have been a Graham-Bradley? They were red with louvers and the floor and shifter sound about right.

It was bright red, it had side curtains on the engine, I could see over the seat(no back) shifter was forward, under the steering, the tractor was about five 1/2 feet tall I don't remember any brake pedals, hand brakes maybe, I am not sure of that, barely any levers whatsoever, ignition and starter was on or under the dash steering was at an upward slant. That is all I can remember.
