The PTO oil tube for my Oliver 1650 dual speed, wet type PTO was cut in two, apparently long before I removed the PTO housing to rebuild (probably why the disks were sprung and burned!). I cannot find the front section of the oil tube or where the tube connects in the front of the housing. Does the top of the differential housing need to come off in order to find & reconnect the oil tube?

Most likly yes it should come off.The line goes in there agood ways.Alot of times guys cut the line to get it apart, then try to slip a hose or connectior on with out removeing the top.Being low preasure it works sometimes.
