The 3 pt hitch on a 1958(?)4-cyl gas Massey TO-35 will not hold the cultivator up when stopped or (single) clutch is engaged. To back up, I must raise it, shift into reverse and pop the clutch quickly before the cultivator hits the ground (about 1-2 seconds). The problem developed trying to get out from being badly stuck in snow. I can still cultivate in this condition. Any suggestion as to what the problem may be, and cost and type of parts, and repair complexity? Also, how do I identify a Continental engine?
