I recently bought a 1570m case and the dipstick is missing to check the trans/hydraulic fluid. I have the local dealer trying to find me one, but I want to use it and I would like to check the fluid level before using it. Does anyone know how many inches it is from the top of the hole (where the dipstick goes) to the level of the trans/hydraulic fluid? Any help at all will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Can't really answer your question precisely but here's some info and I can't remember if it applys to 1570's. Early 1370's were shipped with sight gages (hi, lo) in the range shifter cover on the side of the transmission. After a lot of differential pinion failures it was determined that the transmission oil level was too low. All of the tractors with sight gages were called in. The transmission oil was drained, inspected, filtered or replaced and the sight glasses removed and a dipstick fitted. It had an adjustable sleeve that marked the level. It had to be adjusted based on the tire size (front and rear). We did some in shop and some on the farm. This was in the late 70's and I can't remember if it affected 1570 modles or if tractors shipped after the mod had different dipsticks.

sorry, it's not a 1570m, just a 1570.
