The tube routs over to in front of the engine and up to connect to the bottom of a brass Tee. The side of the tee has a rubber fuel line which goes to the Roosa Master distributor type injector pump. The other end of the tee is a threaded male fitting (usually female but this is male) and it screws directly into the bottom of the tank.

I'm going to guess that this is just a tube up into the tank or maybe not even a tube.

The downward pressure on this is just gravity and that is only 1/2 psi per foot of fuel depth whereas the non used fluid from the injectors and probably the excess from the pump is at least a couple of pounds...enough to make fluid flow down the tube at a reasonable rate. So it could very well just be a battle of the pressures.

My I&T manual doesn't address the subject but I have some other manuals coming in about a week. If anything is there I'll inform you.
