I have an early 1950 Cub and after many years of using the crank for start up, I have recently installed a starter. I will need to know what size 6 volt battery is need for good start-up power and a complete wiring diagram. Please email if possible,,,,, Thanks Kindly,,,,, Ken in Omaha

Ken, I cannot get to your e-mail. But a group 1 - 6 volt battery will do the job. I'm attaching a link to cub FAQ's. On page 2 there are links to wiring diagrams. The early one is the one you need. Sometimes the link doesn't work as the site is undergoing some changes. Make sure both battery cables are heavy enough for 6 volt service.
