I have a Massey 135, how much weight would it lift up if i put a loader on it? would it lift say 300kgs? half a ton? I really dont have a clue on loaders! Any help would be appreciated.

It has water filled rear tires, I can add weight.

Thanks Ben

Ben,

The loader should handle 1/2 ton or so with water in the rears, but I would be careful with the front end on the 135. These axles were really not designed to be used on a loader; they'll work but heavy use is not recommended. The thrust bearings on the bottom of the spindles are a little light for loader duty.

Tommy, I have a UK 135 with straight axle - is that better for loader work or make no difference?

Thanks

Ben

Ben,

It definitely should be better. The adjustable "agriculture" type just was never really intended for loader work. The fixed axles have heavier spindles and thrust bearings in them I believe. Maybe bigger hubs and wheels too.
