Does anyone know a good source for rubber seals (U-Cups and O-Rings)? I bought a remanufactured hydrovac unit for my truck 2 years ago and it's wasted already. They didn't polish the bores and rods, just left the hone finish on them. Baum has the right sizes but can't supply them in the right material. Allorings has the right material but can't supply them in the right sizes. Try to buy a kit for a hydrovac at NAPA or the truck parts store and they look at you like you're from Mars. The parts I need are standard sizes but must be EPDM rubber. Regular Buna-N won't stand up to brake fluid.

Try Baileys at BAILEY.NET. They have alot of seals, etc like your needing. I know tyou can buy from Baileys, in fact I think you can even do it online. You can also try Hercules Hydraulics at the link. I don't think you can buy direct from them but any established hydraulics shop should be able to get you anything you need. You can also request a catalog from them. I got one awhile back and it's a good thing to have when your trying to match up old seals, etc to replace.

You need to know the I.D., O.D., width of groove and material then try these people: If that doesn't work then try Roger Zatkoff at http://www.zatkoff.com/catalog/productsel.asp

Looks like Zatkoff might be my best bet. Ever done business with them? Will they sell to a low volume non commercial account?
Thanks,
John

John, I haven't needed to buy anything from them lately but as I recall they had a $15 minimum and would sell to anyone with a charge card. They carry just about any seal ring you can imagine and a few you wouldn't even think of like teflon covered O-rings and Shamban Glyd rings. Nice friendly people to deal with, very helpful. I would call ahead and pick the seals up in person at their Farmington MI store using my charge card.

Hope they can help with your problem as well.

I have a 420 John Deere purhased in 1988 and need a coil. The replacement coil does not work. Does anyone know of a source for this "dual" coil? Thanks!!

Any snowmobile shop. Just match the primary resistance.Even an automotive dual coil would work.
