Just adding to what was already stated - make sure the shut-off valve is not "shut-off." That can also stick and it's easy to get to (the shut-off metering valve is under the three-bolt cover).

Has the unit sat for a long time without running?

The plungers inside the pump can gum up with old diesel fuel, and stick in the inward position, so they do not move outward to take on a charge of fuel. A little know-how and a $30.00 seal kit can get it going, or probably $300.00 to $800.00 at the pump shop.

No it's been running but very badly though. I just bought it. I tore the motor down. Two broke pistons and blown head gasket. Head has been reworked. the fuel pump shaft came out when I dis. the motor I didn't want to get into it so I bought some seals for the shaft lined up the marks put it back together but no fuel coming out of the inj. lines.

Thanks Mike
