I am missing the diesel fuel line from the filter to the injector pump on a Case tractor. Can I put a rubber line as replacement? Will it cause any problems? I am also thinking of inserting an electric fuel pump there also. I should be able to get it running after getting this connected.thanks for any help

I do not know why you could not use a rubber fuel line from your fuel pump to the injection pump. That is what I run from my lift pump to the injection pump on my Allis and it has worked for years. Use a fuel rated line not just any rubber hose. I think that is what the other reply was shying you away from.

thanks Chris, that makes the job much easier with a flex line. I will get a fuel rated line.

An auto parts store (like NAPA or Advanced Auto) or performance parts store (like Summit Racing Equipment) should be able to get you a line that'll work.

Aeroquip is a brand name, with hoses for about any application you can think of for transferring liquids and gases. I think you'd want to spec something safe for fuel, pressure-rated, and flame resistant. If you find an Aeroquip supplier, you should be able to buy your selected hose in bulk with a price per foot. Then pick out the connectors you need to match your tractor's fittings and the hose you're going to use.

What model? "rubber" no way. What ever they make them out of these days, OK. I am more worried that with the line missing you have gottn dirt or such in the pump. Any small stuff is bad for pump. Thats why they use 2 filters and then a 3rd final filter. Put the primer pump back befor the filters and mess with the last part only when you have too.

I recently replaced the injector pump so no trash in there. I need some type flexable line if possiable since the pump is about 3 inches above the fuel filter. The line will look like a "Z". This is a Case 530 tractor.
