Too good to be true?

On E-bay I see a seller with 3 tractors. A JD 4600 4WD, a NH with mower and a Kubota with loader. The buy it price makes me wonder. No location given, but he says "free shipping" US. Pictures look like new tractors at a dealer ship. Just do a search for john deere 4600 and view his other items. Am I over reacting to all the scams out there?

There was a thread on this a couple weeks ago- the buyer could never pin down where the tractor was, to go see it- he was just assured that it would be shipped free. Someone then found an identical tractor picture somewhere else on the internet- the scammer had just "hihacked" a picture and posted it on eBay. There was no tractor for sale- only the opportunity for the mark to furnish his credit card number. I guess what would have been fun would have been to send them a large cashier's check and ask for change. . .

Looks like you could put a link or item number to know what your talking about. You might report it to ebay.

You knew the answer to your question before you posted it here. Of course it's too good to be true.

My guess is this guy's Ebay account has been hijacked and he doesn't know it yet. The hijacker is hoping someone will buy it now so he can get their credit card #.

Request the sellers name and address, Ebay sends the info and notifies the seller of your request.

Seen the same deal before but they don't seem to answer E Mails until after DaBay has cancelled the item. Definitely a SCAM.

Looks fishy to me. All the past sales were of clothes, suddenly there are 3 tractors priced too cheap. I wonder what would happen if someone e-mailed him that they were bringing cash & a trailer to haul them home.
