Note to self, remove grease zerk before heating shaft. Broke a lower fork on my lift arm, it was stuck (first duh, remember to grease). Was heating it up, and said to myself, hey the grease is boiling out, that will hurt like heck :-) if I get it on me; about that time..... ..... ..... ... 3 nice 1" blisters on my arm.

Reminds me of the time when I was a kid. My brother and I were riding bikes. Rode down this VERY long hill and had to ride the brakes (coaster brakes) all the way down. Got to the bottom and heard a hissing noise. Looked at my rear wheel and thought "That looks like grease boiling out of the hub!". So I stuck my finger in it to find out. Duh!! Then of course I had to stick my finger in my mouth right away and got hot grease on my tongue! Duh #2!! How did some of us survive being kids!!??

Hope you heal quick. Nothing hurts like a burn. John

Thanks John, it was NOT one of my brighter moves.
