I have a Farmall 400LP with torque multiplier that I am highly interested in trading for a JD with equal horsepower. The red one has hydraulics, new front tire, good sheet iron and most of the chrome lettering.

Highly interested in what? Vintage old iron popper, such as a 60?Update to a 4 cylinder 3010?
Are you attempting to work light acreage, or just
a hobby item? For hard work, these half-century
old models get tired, need repairs. Bargain work
tractors would usually be White 2-85/2-88, cheap
brute power.

I am a JD man and do restorations as a hobby. No hard farm work, pulls, etc. I was given the Farmall and don't know that much about them. I really like poppin' John's and am not that interested in red.
