Hello all,
I want to say I'm sorry if I offended anyone by my posts over the past few days, I guess I am just haveing a bad week. Turns out some things have really taken a turn for worse side now. I would ask that you would all remember my dad in your prayers, he is having some major problems with blood count and kidneys shutting down tonight, he is in ICU tonight and will have (I know I'm not going to spell this right) dialysis tommorrow. He is kinda in a bad way tonight and I know many will not see this till tommorrow(5/6/04) but I needed to go ahead and post tonight. If those who may be out of sorts with me could put that aside for a moment I sure would be gratefull to all. I can be kinda opinionated at times and sometimes I do get kinda carried away but I really don't intend harm by it if that makes sense. I don't often ask for anything like this but if yall would, please remember us at this time, I'm very worried and just down right scared! Thanks,
Gary

Update as of Thursday night 5/6/04
Dad has been moved to Texoma Med. Center and is in ICU. I was there about 4 hours today and he slept all but about 30 seconds or so of that. Sure was snoring up a storm! :o)
He is supposed to get an ultrasound of his kidneys tonight or in the morning one and will start dialysis tommorrow 5/7/04. Its been a long day since yesterday afternoon and its starting weigh on me heavily.
Yall do me a favor and keep the prayers rolling, I know we can use all we can get!
Thanks to all and God bless ya!
Gary

Update as of 2:30pm 5/6/04. They were going to take dad to Dallas to the VA but now we are going to get him to Texoma Med. Center in Denison which is about 20 miles from here rather than 75 or 80 to the VA in Dallas. I've been on the phone most of the day trying to find out which way I need to go and I"m still here. At last contact they said he would be moved in probably 2 hours or so or by 4pm roughly.

Thanks agian to all for the prayers and well wishes and please continue them through this time. I pray for great blessings for each of you as well. My ytmag family!

Gary, You underestimate us....While I can debate passionately in opposition to some of your views, it doesn't mean I'm mad at you or dont like you or respect you. I just don't always agree with you. Plain and simple. You in no way offended me by expressing your point of view. Thats what America is all about. I will certainly keep you and your family in my prayers, and hope for the very best for your Dad. I pray above all that God's will be done. Best of luck, and please continue to express your opinions even though I may deem them to be 180 deg. out of phase. I'll no doubt respond, and we will all have a great discussion.

Thanks Paul,
I think I stay out of phase soemtimes! :o). I think its important to know that this site and forums are kinda meant for us to haggle about our views.
I certainly thank you so much and all those others as well for their well wishes and prayers.
I have not made it down there yet today as I'm kinda waiting to find out what they are going to do, Sherman or Dallas for the dialysis?
VA is in Dallas but other insurance will take care of the bill in Sherman too. Gotta call back and see in a minute and get ready to head somewhere. At last check in they said he was doing better so I believe the power or prayer is working, yall please continue to remember us. I do know there is a great bunch of people on the forums here and I wish all you the best.
Thanks from Texas!!!!!

Gary,
That is what ,makes this country great. We can all have an opinion, or our story, but when it comes down to it, we all are on big family. My Dad was gone to London for 2 weeks and, to say the least, it was not a good time for me. We have had our difference of opinios for over 45 years, but I do not want to think of a world without Dad. And as you can tell by my posts, I am a very opinionated person also, so I am not offended by your posts. Sometimes this sight is what makes my day better, sometimes it is flat funny. So my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. One thing you do need to know though, God does do all his farm work on a red(IH) tractor :o)
Jim

Thanks to all so far as of 12:50am Thursday morning my time. Its so nice knowing that even through our sometimes carried too far going on about tractor color or whatever, that we all really care and thats what really counts. I'm kinda misty right now and thats a kinda rare thing for me as its difficult for me to show my feelings sometimes, heck most of the time.
Thank you all so much, I appreciate it and I can feel it doing some good in my heart as we speak/type. My dad means a great deal to me even though we have had our knock down drag outs but give it an hour or two and its like nothing ever happened. I lost my mother to cancer in 95 and I'm pretty much alone in the world right now except for my dad, I have some uncles and aunts but its not the same, you know. With all of yalls prayers and from a few other email request for prayers tonight I feel very good that he will be ok but it is still a scary time, I'm not ready to give my dad up and I know that with my prayers and the combined prayers of all that Lord willing I can have him in my life for many more years. He is currently in the VA nursing home due to a bad spell early last year. yall are really a great bunch of guys and gals, even those that don't drive green tractors :o)!

Gary,

Our prayers and thoughts are with you tonite. I am a nephrologist(kidney specialist), who frequently visits this website. Your Dad may be helped by the dialysis treatments, and this may take the load off of his native(God-given) kidneys, and allow them some time to heal.
Many people recover from kidney failure, but I acknowledge I don't have the rest of the facts, Re: your father's case. It's really up to the Man Upstairs, and I'm sure the doctors and nurses are doing the best they humanly can for him. Please keep us posted. May the Lord Bless You and keep you, and your Dad.

Best Regards, Matt Stroemel

Dad's are great to have around. It's tough when the guy you always looked up to and always seemed bullet-proof gets brought down by something like this. I've been through it (recently). I have sent up a prayer for you and your dad tonight. Have faith in God that his will be done.

Let us know how it turns out.

Gary, we're praying for you and yours here in southwest Missouri, cause The Lord will be with you, all you have to do is ask. And as far as your opinions go, I spent two years in Nam just so you could have all the opinions you wanted and I would fight again if need be, just so you had the right to argue with me over something. That's what it's all about. Freedom. To pray, to argue, to agree, but most of all , to voice our thoughts without repercussions. God Bless all who replied to this site, Harley
