Hey, I recently stumbled across a Kubota L210 and I'm curious as to when it was made, as well as the general specifications. I have a tractor guide that did not have this particular model in it, and I'm beginning to suspect that it is a grey-market tractor.

Thoughts/opinions?

The L210 were made in 1972 to 1973. 65.3 Cu in. 2 cyl. engine that sound like a rod is coming loose. Produce 21 hp. Tractor weighed approximately 1965 lbs. 3 speed with low and high. Live hyd but not live pto. If I remember correctly it had 2 speed pto. I remember selling them when they were new. One of my customers turned me in to the better business bureau for selling them one.

The kubota usa website has a listing of all usa models, going back to the 70s which is when this L210 was made. I am inclined to think it is a US model because most of the greys are 4 digit. Try tractortips dot com or machinerylink dot com, tools and resources, for a used tractor guide. the old botas are durable, but parts may be a little tricky on the less popular model. This is almost certainly a 2cyl diesel, and may be 2 stroke - I know the L175/185 were 2 stroke. Good luck

My dad talked to the local Kubota dealer and they said that it could be a grey market tractor, depending on if the tags were in Japanese.

It turns out that it is in fact a US model, and with it being at such a good price, I couldn't resist picking it up. Please forgive my ignorance, but all I know is that it is diesel and it has ag tires (I believe there is another version that came with turf tires). The guy I bought it from had pumped a good deal of money into it. All of the tires are brand new, paint is excellent, the exhaust was routed to the rear(sorry, I don't know the technical terms for this), he rebuilt the fuel pump, and replaced the starter. Sorry, I just had to get on here and brag about it :)

By the way, the dealer said he can get the parts as well. Thanks for your responses!

if you are newer to diesels you ought to talk to your dealer or someone for some pointers, esp cold weather starting if that is in your future. the older diesels take a little love to get started in the cold, but they run forever.

I'm fairly new to diesels. However, I'm in southeast Texas, so I won't be starting much in the cold weather.

I actually bought it to resell because it was at such a good price, so with luck, I won't still have it when the weather turns cold[er].

On a side note, I did notice that it likes to start only with the throttle at about 3/4 open. Anybody else notice this?
