i finally got the caps off and everything and 2 pistons are in good shape and i honed out the cylinders and they turned out really good. so i think new rings for these 2 and they are ready to go. the other 2 i havent gotten out yet... they are sitting in turpentine right now but i think i will just use an air hammer and try to break the pistons up. i talked to a guy i know who does this stuff for a living and he has 2 sleeves and pistons and he will sell em to me for 75 bucks so i will probably buy those. all the other parts are in good shape. the cam has just a couple rust spots on it but with some emry paper and cleaning i think it will be alright too. what do u all think?

Try a Bit of heat ---propane torch of acet.on the area around the caps bolts. Them shove the sleeve and piston with rod attach out the top this may be tough but from what you say the piston/sleeves are toast anyway. At the price of new sleeves and pistons /rings I would not even think of putting junk back. If the shaft and mains are ok its worth it- if the crankcase was full of water for long you may have cam bearing problems along with the oil pump ) Buy the Cowmans M ? ? ) Good luck and keep us updated John

the super m was rebuilt and all painted and all new parts put on about 6-8 years ago. and it ran all but about 2 of those years. water got into 2 cylinders and now its soo frozen up that it did break off the ring on top and moved the sleeves down about 2 inches when i pulled it down the road. deffinately cant get it to budge at all so i was wondering if anyone has any advice about how to get the pistons unstuck or the rod caps? thanks

You may need to tap on the sides of the rod caps with a hammer to loosen them, I can't imagine that they would be rusted unless the oil pan was full of water. Rod caps can be difficult sometimes even on a running engine. Soaking the siezed cylinders for 3 days probably is not long enough, I am currently working on an H with stuck pistons, it has been soaking for about 4 months now and I am just beginning to see some results, but the engine is still not loose. It takes a good deal of time and patience to free a stuck engine. Also, don't fall for any of those ridiculous claims made by the manufacturers of penetrating oils, I have tried just about all of them, Wd-40, PB blaster, Liquid Wrench, etc, etc., and I can tell you that they do not work, don't waste your money on these products. The product that does seem to be having some effect on my H is plain old turpentine, the real stuff, not the substitute. It has not succeded yet in freeing the engine, but does seem to be working, so try this at your own risk. Another product which I am thinking of trying is plain old vinegar, again, I can't vouch for that one. The key word here is patience. Good luck.

The sleeves come out the top. If they are going down with the piston the ridge around the top is broken off, I don't know wht you can't get the rod caps off. Is this a canidate for a different motor? Or maybe a whole nother tractor? I've got a running M I'd sell you for less money than you are going to have in yours.
