I was just wondering if anyone here has ever played along with the scammers everyone talks so heatedly about. I've never tried to sell anything on here and don't really have anything applicable to sell but I thought it might be fun to toy with them. Maybe someone could shut them down by collecting enough info....

I will not waste my time with someone who wants to spend more for shipping then the product itself costs, when drawn on a foreign bank.

Yes I have. I recieved a bogus check for a tractor. It looked really suspicious. So I took it to the bank. They called the bank it was written on and it was no good. So then I went to the Post Master. He said there was not much they could do since the guy wanted me to send it over seas. So I emailed the scammer back and told him that I would not send any check over seas.

I never waste my time with idiots.. They would only bring me down to their level and beat me with experience. I just keep on chuggin' in the weeds.

Scroll down to a post called "brokage firm" (brokerage firm?) from the 21st of April, posted by norm. There is a reply by Bob there with a site that does just that. It's interesting and a little (maybe a lot)off color. I've never encountered one of these jokers so it was kind of interesting. Makes you wonder how anyone with anything on the ball can be drawn in by them. Got to have time on your hands to play with them.

There was a post not too long ago where somebody did that. I guess a guy thinks he'd be wasting their time, maybe he would but don't forget you'd be wasting your time too. Why bother? Just delete the contact and move on.

If he enjoys wasting their time as well as his own, is he really "wasting" his?

I'd say he is but maybe some guys like wasting their own time by wasting the time of others. Sort of like you and me wasting our time discussing this time-wasting debate. But if we enjoy it, then it's not really time-wasting (but it is still a waste of time). Getting too confusing for me, I've got things to do and I'm wasting time talking about it. See ya.
