Just bought a D6006, wasn't told much about this tractor. We have never owned one before. How do you operate the glow plugs?

Also, there is a lever to the left of steering wheel, what is this for? It can move both left/right as well as up/down.

We appreciate any and all help to figure these issues out.

Melissa & Steve

Good find. They are a great tractor. I have one with 9000 hours still with original clutch. They are many of them around here with well over 10000 hours.

The glow plugs are operated by pulling the start knob out half way and holding it. There is actually a heater element in the air intake that heats the incoming air. The switch on the left is for the turn signals.

The lever to the left of the steering-wheel is for the following functions: Left/Right motion is turn-signals, Up/Down motion is high/low beam, and pushing in on the end of the stick is the horn.

Thank you for clearing up these questions. We are new to farming as well as tractors. Sometimes finding someone who can answer a few questions is hard to find.

Thanks again!!
