i have a chance to buy an oliver 70 nice tractor.i work in the woods and thats what i'd u
use it for. what is the oliver 70 comparable to?are they hard to find parts for? thank's mike

No live PTO on a 70. They can have live hydraulics with an add-on distributor pump if you can find one. Parts are getting kind of scarce and expensive - especially water pumps, pistons, sleeves, etc.

Mike, the Oliver 70 is a classic, one of the tractors that the Oliver line is identified by. It is to Oliver what the M is to IH and the WD45 is to AC. Good tractor, easy to work on, parts are relatively easy to find.

Yes Olivers are good tractors and for there given size will pull more then most others will. The 70 has about 31HP. I have an Oliver 77 that has around 38 HP but it will out work my Ford 801 which has around 46HP. Plus if I remember right the 70 will have live PTO
