I have a BCS 710 rear tine tiller that I let a buddy borrow and he installed the new tines I had purchased. I think he installed them wrong because now the tiller is UNCONTROLLABLE!! Please help with any advice or pictures of how they should be installed. Thanks

Hey Donnie,

About 2 weeks ago I replaced the knifes/blades on my Befco 5' tiller. The old ones were wore down to the "nubs". I replaced 1 at a time, took it out for a trial run w/some bounceing. Well I needed to adjust the skids on the side that sets the depth of cut. Just a thought (after you rule out improper installation)if you havent. I'm sure you'll nail it down shortly. Good luck.

Steve

Look at another tiller and see how they are set as every tiller that I have ever saw the tines are all alike and are turned the same directions , the bended curved parts should face toward the outside on both sides ( 2 one way & 2 the other way ). check them out and get the garden started.good luck

I sure wouldn't use it uncontrollable.

I expect he put the left tines on the right side and the right tines on the left side.

I am giving a link to the BCS site, but I don't think the picture I listed will be of anything but marginal use.
