Carburator Adjustment?

I just rebuilt the carb on my 1969 MM M670 Super. Now, the only way the tractor will start, or stay running, is if the choke is pulled almost all the way out. It runs absolutely great with the choke pulled out, but if I push it in, even a little, the tractor will die. I know this is just the adjustments to the load and/or idle needles, but I don't know which. Could someone set me straight? I appreciate the help.

Why did you rebuild it in the first place?
Have you got the choke plate operating the right way? I don't know what the carb is like, but it sounds like you are a learner at this game. Is the float level correct? Are there any leaks into the manifold?
Old is right about the starting point adjustment, but my feeling is that you may have missed something obvious.
Just remember the idle setting will have little effect on the maximum fuel rate. You obviously can't adjust it at absolutely full load from scratch, but it is easier to adjust the main feed and then work towards the tick-over settings.

It would be the main or as you called it the load jet, starting out adjust ment should be 1-1/2 turns out and adjust from there. But to me it still sound like there is something wrong in the carb. If you pull the main jet all the way out will it stay running if so you still have a clogged carb.
