I found a 10 ft. 3 pt. Ford disc for sale. I have an 800 series Ford. Will my tractor be able to lift this disc? I currently have a pull behind 8 foot disc that pulls well. Will the 10 foot be too much? I have sandy loam soil.
Thanks

Scott, your 800 will lift the disk just fine and will have no prolem pulling it. Use draft control, not position control for the disk.

Is my 800 heavier than a 8n? Some of the guys with 8n's say this disc is too heavy. Can a 800 lift more than an 8n?
Thanks.

Scott, here is what I come up with from one of my tractor books. The higher hp.rating is from pully or pto and the lower would be drawbar hp. Hope this helps. They are a good solid tractor and if it has LPTO it is better yet. Should hace live hydraulics. wt. hp 8N- 2717# 26.19@ 2000 rpm 21.95@ 1750 rpm

851(800) 48.37-41.54@ 2200 rpm wt.3445#
