I am always on the look out for some "stuff" I can use around the shop, house, tractor etc. Well today I got stumped.

Bldg. where I work is updating plumbing and as such tossing away a bunch of cast iron pipe. Sizes range from 2" - 6" dia. lengths 6' - 12'. What can this stuff be used for?

I thought of bumpers, shop plumbling but was concerned about the brittleness and having to lead the joints. I hate to just see it sit but have no good ideas of what it could be used for other than drain pipe.

What are your ideas?

Shep, I've been trying to answer your e-mails, but it doesn't seem to work. If you read this let me know if the part works out for you and if you found the hat. Shipping was 10.05. Thanks!

Shep , Wish you lived closer , I am always looking
for cast iron in shapes to use for repair of
cast iron items . Last piece of cast I got for supply of pieces was a bath tub , works well. In repairing manifolds with missing sections pieces of the tub work quite well, but also need
some curved sections to use with the oxy/acetylene
weld . Take a look at some manifold repairs .

on cast iron pipe you can cut of the hubs and use bands to put it together. works great. fittings arent cheap though. sounds like you could plumb the whole house.

Send it up here to Possom Lodge, we'll find a thousand uses for it. For sure Winston could use it for his sewage and septic sucking service. Dalton could sell some at his store. Even Mike Hammer could probably fence some of it to his old penetentiary buddies.

But just remember Red, if the women don't find us handsome they should at least find us handy, so we gotta find SOME use for that pipe. Just remember to keep yer stick on the ice.
