I have a 1965 Ford 3000 Gas (3 cyl.), does anyone know if this engine was originally sleeved? The engine does appear to have sleeves but when I have inquired about rebuild kits, no one has one with sleeves.

According to my Sealed Power book the 3000 gas DID not have sleeves. Pistons come in std. .020, .030, and .040. After market sleeves can be used when you can't bore it any more. Sleeves are .080 wall cut to length and press fit.
If yours looks like it has sleeves maybe that is what happened. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. I guess my best bet is to bore the sleeve .020 over and get new pistons.
