Just to follow up: It is really a 1755. Not being familiar with the model system I don't know what the difference would be. It has a John Deere loader on it. I want to say a 240, but I don't remember for sure. Our situation is that we bought this acreage a little more than a year ago and need some tools to make the work go a little easier. Last year we depended on the neighbors equipment or hired work done. We have 15 acres (13 fenced in pasture for the horses). I want to be able to groom pastures, dig fence posts, move manure piles, etc. Like I said, it is really more tractor than I was looking for, but the price is within the budget. I can see circumstances when a smaller tractor might be better, but I also like the idea of being able to pull a big batwing mower and taking care of the pastures in an afternoon. It is actually sitting on a dealer lot and they do have a good reputation for service, but whether or not they can get parts in a timely fashion is not always their problem.
