I am getting antifreeze in my crankcase and need some advice on using liquid glass to patch the leak. Do I mix it with the antifreeze or straight water, should the engine be warm, how much do I use, do I drain it out after awhile or leave it, etc.? By the way, it's a JD MT with heavy welds around the front of the block where evidently the pedistal broke. The head gasket is dry at least on the outside of the engine. It leaks about a half pint in a half hour.

Rinse out the block 3 or4 times.
Then Rinse out the block with a mix of water and
vinager(about 2 to 3 cups).
This to get rid of antifreeze.
Then put in a quart of liquid glass in a radator of water then run untill it is warm shut off
then drain and leave set for 2 days for it to harden.

I live near Houston, TX. and I have a tractor with a slow leak due to a pinhole from electrolosis Do you know of any local liquid glass suppliers? If not local then anywhere?

I bought two quarts today at the local drug store. Ask for liquid glass or sodium silicate.
