We have just purchased and old farm house belonging to my father in law. In the huge barn I found a tractor. Allis-charlmers. He is 91 but thinks it is a 1944? The tractor has harrows, snow plow, scycle bar, and tillers for attachments. In decent shape but I am sure it need work. Crank model and one tire is bad. Have no idea what something like this is worth. Lots of people are interested Found a number under the seat AM2787-19 and NK
Would appreciate any help someone might have. We are in New Hampshire.

Hi Ron,

Greatings from Farmington :o). The AM2787-19 is a casting number for the rear final drive housings. My '42B has the same numbers on it. Sure sounds like yours is an AC Model B, a great little tractor. Look up adjacent to the shift lever just to the left on the transmission housing. You should find a tractor serial number that is stamped not cast. You may have to use a wire brush to remove some paint or rust to be able to see it. If there is a number like B58812, then that would confirm that it is an AC Model B. The B58812 is the number of my B so if yours is a '44, it would be a little higher numerically but would have the "B" prefix. You can also check out the serial number listings by following the links on the left side of this page to confirm the model years. Also you can check out the many photos of AC tractors, Bs included, by browsing the tractor photo section, also on the left of this page.
