For Steam and Gas Engine Enthusiasts:

WVPT has a program airing in March that we think you’ll enjoy:
There’s something about old tractors. “Timeless Tractors” on WVPT—Virginia’s Public Television March 25, 7:30—9:00 p.m. celebrates people’s love affair with the tractor, gives a history of the tractor, and looks at how the tractor has shaped the agriculture industry.

Other programs that may be of interest to you:
Red Green is hilarious. He and his buddies at Possum Lodge have been on television for 25 years, making wild inventions and using miles of duct tape. “Red Green’s Hindsight Is 20/20” on WVPT—Virginia’s Public Television March 13, 9:30—11:30 p.m. and at 11:30 p.m., and March 27 at 2:00 p.m. celebrates outrageously funny clips from Red Green’s 25 years.

On October 26, 2002, The Statler Brothers called it a career and appeared in their last concert. “The Statler Brothers Farewell Concert” on WVPT—Virginia’s Public Television March 7 8:30—10:30 p.m. with repeats March 11 at 7:30 p.m. and March 18 at 9:00 p.m. captures their legendary sound and good-natured ribbing.

WVPT—Virginia’s Public Television Channels:

Harrisonburg Area: Antenna 51, DT 11
Adelphia Cable 6, 7 & 11
Shentel 12
Intelos 7 Charlottesville/Albemarle County Area:

Gail, as a devote follower of Red Green, I have to take issue with your comment about "making Wild Inventions". I find most of Red's ideas to be similar to my own. After all who would think of making a Pontoon Boat out of the heating ducts from your house, or using a clothes drier for a BIG popcorn machine. I personally believe we need more shows like Red Green and I hope the PBS station in my area shows the "Timeless Tractors" show. I would comment more on this subject, but I have to go to court. The Highway Patrol impounded my truck and trailer. They claim Duct tape will not hold a tractor on, no matter how many rolls of tape I use.

Rick:

Not only is Red Green famous for his inventions, his unique nephew and his outrageous buddies, I have always wondered about the sore throat he must have after doing a show. That voice will live on.

Roger,

It sounds like your inventive powers are just as "cutting-edge" as Red Green's. With a mind like this, I'm sure you'll do well with your court case.
Wishing you many rolls of duct tape...
Gail

I echo Roger's sentiments. Anybody who has Harold for a nephew deserves praise and sympathy, not ridicule for using the handyman's secret weapon whenever possible. As for the rest of the gang from Possum Lodge, well, like Red says, "Keep your stick on the ice..."

Jim,

I don't know if your local station will be airing these shows. A quick call to the station or, perhaps, a visit to the staton's website would get you the information you need.

Gail
