We have a JD pedal tractor that we bought in 1964 and was used by all four of our kids. Now we have a grandson who is about ready to use it but it needs the rear tires replaced. I purchased replacement tires but after looking things over, I thought I would prevail on you folks for some advice on how to replace these tires. There has to be "a way" and I would appreciate your help before I jump in and screw up something.
Thanks.

Are the rims made of two halves and riveted together? Could grind the rivets out. Nice thing is you don't need the safety cage during reassembly!

I think if you could put them in real hot water and soften them up and use some type of lube to help get them on.
