Ok i'm back hopefully with a photo. i need to find an upper water passage into this radiator so that i might use it as a thermosiphoning cooler for an old lister diesel stationary engine. is it possable to gain access through the upper plug? Thanks

Hi rhudson,

Don't sell yourself short. When you are viewing your uploaded photo in the parts and pieces gallery, right click on it and select "properties". That will show you the URL for the photo. Select that URL and copy it to the clipboard (ctrl-C). Then open up your post box and paste (ctrl-V) the URL information in the "optional image url" space below the actual post box. There's another way to do it but that is the easiest way to have the photo actually show up in your post.

Yes, I believe it is possible to gain access through the upper plug. Here's a good description of the assembly typical of such radiators.

I think you have cleared up two of my many problems. The radiator sections seem to be connected with a right and left hand nipple that has internal "dogs" to allow a wrench to tighten from the inside. so i'm guessing that i might have to check the hand on the upper plugs before loosening. i'll start on that part of the project next week.

i'm going to cut and past your picture posting directions so that i might use them in the future.

Thank you for your time and advise.
